How is Teeth Whitening done?

The dentist checks the shade of the teeth at the start of treatment and discusses how light you would like your teeth to be. An impression is taken of the teeth, from this the laboratory makes a thin vinyl tray, like a gum shield that fits to your teeth.

The whitening process is carried out using a special bleaching gel which is put in the thin vinyl trays and sits on top of the teeth. Whitening can take up to 14 days depending on how light you want your teeth to look.

Your dentist will then review your progress to ensure you are satisfied with the result.
